The Business Challenge Trophy - Boon Brown Wins!!!

Congratulations to the Boon Brown Runners

Boon Brown was very pleased to support St Margarets Hospice by entering into the 'Business Challenge Trophy'; a 'fun run' of 3 miles around crewkerne as a part of the Crewkerne 9 annual 9 mile run. Boon Brown entered 3 teams of 3, comprising staff members of all ages and abilities! Shaun Travers, our Planning Director, took the lead of the event (if not the race itself!) and provided us all with a fine summary of the day:

'The start was a violent affair with much jostling and elbowing but eventually we were off into the Somerset Countryside. The first 2 mins were great the next 20 were hell (for some). Nobody had expected the incline on the hills and whilst funny to look at they were not funny to run up, however, undaunted, Josh, Matt and the Toms stormed on'.........

'At the halfway point the BBA elite were on fire and things were looking good, Hacon and Vikki kept swapping around but eventually Hacon took the lead. At this point I considered the ideals of management and leadership and held back to ensure everyone got home safely'.........

'Eventually, sweet Jesus, the end was nigh. I can’t report on how anybody else finished because as I say I held back to fulfill my duty of care, however I can tell you of my exceptional speed toward the finish line and how an overwhelming sense of joy and accomplishment in the BBA squad nearly made me cry, not to say the exceptionally generosity of the organizers in handing me a banana at the finish'.........

'We went to the pub and as we bathed in the glory that is beer we could see the finish out of the pub window and thus could make a quick dash across to the poduium, beer in hand, to receive the accolade of Business Challenge Winners. Matt and Tom C proudly received the Plaque and individual crystal prizes, holding them aloft and shouting to all who could hear that Boon Brown was fit and ready to take on all challenges for another 25 years.'

Boon Brown is celebrating 25 years of business this May

As a part of the celebrations we have not only re-launched the website but have also improved the office with a new 'cool wall' area and have taken part in various charity events including the Taunton half marathon and the 'Business Challenge Trophy' 3 mile run in Crewkerne in aid of St Margarets Hospice

Continuing Growth Calls for Mini-Makeover

As a part of the upcoming celebration of 25 years of trading, and due to its continued growth, the Boon Brown office has recently undergone a 'mini-makeover'. The practice has taken on an additional 7 staff members within the last 6 months and as such it was time for a re-think in terms of office layout. Partition walls have been removed, new desk spaces created and, in order to take the opportunity for a comprehensive revamp, walls have been painted, new furniture installed and a new planting scheme introduced. The result is a much more vibrant and 'human' space which better reflects the creative work that goes on within.
